Santa Fe December 19th to January 19th

Paige has informed me that she will no longer read my blog because I need to be entering new posts like a normal blog and folks should not be made to scroll down to the bottom of a single document to find new info. Actually, I think she may be the only one reading my blog on a regular basis, so I have to please my reader!

Santa Fe has been interesting. It is MUCH colder here than we expected! Down to about 14 at night and warms up to mid 30s during the day. There is snow here, but not a lot!

This is the outside of our home when we first arrived. Notice that there is no snow! We were psyched! One of my goals this year was NOT to see any snow!

The very next morning the snow started!!!!
I admit that I love snow at Christmas, so I was pretty excited about this. After Christmas all the snow can go away!

We had NOTHING for Christmas decorations so we hit the Dollar General and purchased every cheap Christmas decoration that we could find. We also had to buy lights, a tree stand, and everything else you could think of...

Paige and Tobi did the popcorn and string thing. The tree actually turned out quite well!

Downtown Santa Fe is pretty cool! We are within walking distance to everything around here including a VERY cool brand new movie theatre with a bar and restaurant where you can order and take your order into the theatre as you enjoy the movie.

A little hard to see this picture but on Christmas eve we did the Santa Fe Canyon walk with Ethan and Paige. We were told that folks would be breaking out into Christmas carols at random times. NOPE! Although one guy walking in front of us was singing, but very hard to tell what....as he could not carry a tune in a bucket! Very crowded, but some cool storefronts and lights.

St. Francis Church. When we walked by ALL the bells were ringing! Pretty cool!

Canyon walk with the luminaria.

More luminaria, which face it are just bags with candles in them but a tradition here in Santa Fe.

Here is a video that I put together with some of my music:
