Today started with a run through Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens, which is right by our apartment. Got to cross this off my bucket list. Peter Pan statue, which is in Hyde Park. Very close to where we are staying!
Peter Pan statue in Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Another thing that I have always wanted to see.
The Royal Guard guarding the Royal Jewels in the Royal Tower of London, where we spent most of the Royal day as there is a LOT to see! Gotta love the updated weapon!
Yes, we did get in to see the Royal Bling! And there was a LOT of it! NO PHOTOS in there. In fact, one dude took a photo and they descended down on him like a hoard of huns and removed the photo from his iPhone!
MUCH better! No fine frilly lady underthings today! It was all about armor, weapons, and torture. My kind of day! Even the horse gets amor! Gotta love that!
The Tower Bridge, which it turns out is MUCH cooler than the London Bridge. In fact, almost any bridge is cooler than the London Bridge! Of course Tobi and I had to climb up to the catwalk above the bridge.
You can stand on the glass and look down. The people in front of us told us to go ahead as they were trying to get up the nerve to walk out onto the glass. Pretty cool!
Another cool pedestrian bridge: The Millennium Bridge. St. Paul's Cathedral is in the background, which we are told is the second largest Cathedral in the world. It was Sunday, and of course the Cathedral was closed! Big Adventure planned for tomorrow!!!!
